According to the source website, Coca-Cola was briefly available in the Soviet Union in 1979, as Fanta was to be the official soft drink of the Moscow Olympics the following year. But because of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and the subsequent US boycott of the games, this wasn’t to be.
