This photo, from a Saemaul propaganda book I own, issued in South Korea in 1977 (more photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/riveranotario/albums/72157629094339960), features a Saehan Elf (Korean-made Isuzu Elf) badged as a Chevrolet.
Any ideas if these were also sold as Chevrolet in South Korea, or was this for export? I can’t find info online about it! (Found it! Updated below)
I only see it badged as SMC elsewhere.
UPDATE! Here it is! https://twitter.com/3star4wd/ on Twitter showed me that the full name is 시보레 2.5톤 트럭, or Chevrolet 2.5 Ton Cargo Truck. No mention yet of the Elf name on this Chevy, that is why I couldn’t Google it. So yes, this Elf was sold in Korea, before GMK became Saehan, when it adopted the Elf name, just like its Isuzu original.
